POLL - Which cam for LSA?
After some research, I think I've narrowed it down to a few cam choices. Here are my goals and mods:
09 Auto, Currently 638rwhp with E-85 and 2.1/9.5 combo making 14.5-15PSI at 5300+ elevation.
I will be adding nitrous (100shot) in the near future. Cat delete coming in a couple of weeks.
* Maintain mild idle/lope
* Maintain drivability - no bucking/surging/shaking
* Most interested in 1/4 mile results - Don't really need the 'down low street grunt/fun factor'
* Needs to work well with nitrous
* Maintain stock heads (at most some porting in the future)
* I'd like to be able to sell this car in the future w/o having to go through all the labor of removing cam, springs, rockers, etc.
* Don't want to worry about frequent valve train maintenance
Stock LSA cam: 198/216 480/480 121 LSA -35 overlap
Choices:

We did a 21X/24X 12X on a L99 camaro last year with a Kenne Bell and picked up over 120 rwhp with a set of headers. Car had a mild idle, drove great, and picked up power everywhere. A bit of a apples to oranges comparison but really same type heads and displacement and both supercharged.
We also did a 21X/23X on a 118 in a LSA headed TVS1900 LS2 that made right at 600 with 8 pounds of boost thru a 3000 stall and 14 bolt rear end (truck)
If you want to go even more crazy (rough idle)
We did a 418 with a set of LSA heads and a 23x/25x on a 118 - if I remeber correctly that made 800 rwhp at just under 15 pounds. Car drives like a baby but does have a fairly rough idle.
