Default Help me choose my N2O

What kit should I get or should I throw some different parts together? I wanna run a 250 shot. Its an 87 Cutlass with a 5.3 with 45k on it. 750 carb, TR224 cam, longtubes, 4.11 gears, 28" tires, and a turbo 400 tranny.

I am new to nitrous and need some guidance. I do wanna keep it somewhat budget friendly though. Thanks in advance guys.

I have had 5 kits over the years. 4 NOS brand and one Compucar (now defunct?). I have never been disappointed with the function of any of them. My current car has the NOS Cheater. And, if I were to buy another kit tomorrow, I would buy another NOS product without hesitation.

Just don't use the jetting recommendations that come with the kit. They are typically much too rich. Get in with the nitrous experts on Yellow Bullet. Those guys really know how to get that right.

i would highly suggest Induction Solutions or Nitrous Outlet. I run an IS kit, from steve so im a bit partial to them, they come flowed with the jetting tune ups ready to go, their customer service is great if you ever need advice on tune ups. I have hear excellent reviews about Nitrous Outlet stuff as well. Dont have any first hand experience with them but they seem to be top notch too.

I just went with a Zex perimeter plate system. Got a pretty good deal on it and I heard good things about them. I was looking at those others, but i didnt really wanna spend that much on the kit. Now ill grab a window switch and let her rip and see how good the Hoosier drag radials hook!

And ya, ill get with the guys on yellow bullet because im not familliar with jetting and things like that.

For the most part, most guys run a flowing fuel pressure of 5 to 6 lbs., And, most guys run a 10-12 jet spread on a plate system in the 150 to 250 HP range. For example, my jet spread is 63n/53f. This tune gave me some very clean plugs after the run and a very strong performance.

I don't know how much advice will be available on the Zex plate on The Bullet. That is a fairly unusual piece in the carbureted world.

Thanks for the starting point. And unusual huh? I will just have to see how good of a piece it is. I think I seen a few talking about the perimeter plate system on the bullet. Thats what I actually based my decision off.
