Default Tail shaft housing question

Hey guys, looking for some opinions on this.

I had my car on the dyno last Wednesday. First pull, the car made 441/393, which I was pretty excited about.. until I noticed my trans puked its fluid all over the dyno. I got under the car to take a look, and you can clearly see the tail shaft housing cracked right by where the torque arm mounts to it.

Would it just be ok if installed a UMI adjustable torque arm, torque arm relocation bracket, and a 2WD truck tailshaft housing (the “stronger” one, without the arm mount on it)? I would love to get a built 4L60, and I was planning to get one next year, but realistically it’s just not possible right now. I’m not looking to race the car, the rear wouldn’t hold up anyways, I mainly just want to be able to drive it again.

So what do you guys think? Will this work?

That sounds like a sound fix to me. Nothing wrong with repairing your problem. Shouldn't be that dificult to do either. You should be able to do all of this work with the tranny still in the car. Good luck!
