Is there any negative effect from capping off the hose that runs from the water pump to the lower driver's side of the radiator?

I never realized before that it is only there because the WP and Rad are all built to accommodate an oil cooler whether your car is optioned for one or not.

Not a problem. Y and B body cars don't even have a port there.
