Default Aeromotive Stealth 340 Low Pressure

Installed this pump about 4 months ago, it was problem free until recently. I was getting lean codes and couldn't find any vacuum leaks so I put a pressure gauge to the fuel rail and two different days only saw 28 PSI.

My first assumption is the pump is slowly dying, but a reputable performance shop told me something has probably come loose/ broken inside the tank.

What do you guys think is more likely to be the problem, just wondering if I should even bother dropping the tank without another pump ready to go. Trying to minimize downtime, but my experience with fuel pumps is minimal.

This is on a 2006 Trailblazer SS with a TVS1900 (just 6 PSI). Also what is the feedback on the 340? Good? Bad? Should I be looking at going back in with something else? Maybe the Walbro 400?

Thanks in advance.

Was it 28 psi at idle or under hard throttle or what? I just had a huge issue with all this, and realized my pump wasn't big enough for one, and it was also sitting in the bucket wrong too

Yeah that's not good at all. Did you upgrade the wiring with the 340 pump?

No but the wiring on the TBSS is supposed to be pretty good, and it had no problems until recently.

Hmmm....if the pump is bad then it sounds real bad since it's only at 28 psi at idle even

I'd give the wiring a look. Including the relay. Aeromotive suggests a 40amp relay and 10ga wire. I just installed mine with all that stuff and at idle its pulling 16 amps. Its a beastly little pump and more than enough for your setup.

I had a supra pump in before are it fried 14 ga wire. Gave me low pressure for a week then fully died.
