Default engine temp

What should my temp read when my 2000 T/a is up to running temp. The car is all stock ws6 package. Thks

The gauge should read around 210 on average

The stock gauge is junk. It will read right about 210 for any actual temp between about 190 and 230.

If you mean actual coolant temps as seen on a scanner though, your stock t-stat is a 187°F unit, so actual coolant temps shouldn't drop below this once the engine is fully warm. Stock fan settings will allow engine temps to range as hot as between 217° to 235° at idle/low speeds depending on load and conditions.

Yeah i have a 98, they say my gauge is only year its accurate, but i use a scangauge, and its not. Normal temp is around 195 cruising, 210 in town.

Your gauge should hover around 210. How warm the engine ACTUALLY is??? As mentioned above, quite a range.

The '98s are closer to reality, and also will register with movement for smaller changes in temp. But the actual temp they show is still not 100% accurate, as you have found. '99-'02 are even worse though.
