moving BCM from 99 formula to 2000 firebird, a few alarm questions
my 99 formula was a donor car for a powertrain swap to my 2000 firebird. the 2000 has power windows and locks but no alarm or keyless entry.
1. are non-alarm cars pre-wired for shock sensors?
2. what is the BCM C15 "low coolant indicator latching" circuit. it's the only thing missing from the 2000 circuit that was on the 99... my 99 also had a coolant level sensor. the 2000 doesnt.
3. how can i extend the range of my BCM to my key FOB? is there a trick that works?... because even with a new FOB, i had to be like 20 feet from the car for it to work. can i make sort of a signal amplifier or an antenna?
this should also correct the data link error code from having modules with different VIN's.

1. no idea... pull off the left quarter trim panel and look in front of the spare tire for an unused 4-pin connector with orange, black, light green, and light blue wires.
2. that circuit is for a "low coolant" light in the instrument cluster.
3. believe it or not, hold the remote up to your chin.
The BCM has no connection to the car's VIN. You can swap BCMs from vehicle to vehicle and the only issue will be matching the resistor pellet in the ignition key for VATS.

I do also need to swap inflator modules to turn off the airbag light.
I plan on swapping the steering columns, because my old one is tighter, and so i don't have to bypass VATS.
I don't have the other car with me to confirm, but this definitely looks like the shock sensor connector...
