Window Problems
2000 Z-28
My driver side window will roll up or down to a certain point then stop.
After 2-3 minutes go by i can roll it up or down maybe a quarter of a inch then it stops again as i'm holding the button down. Is this my switch going bad or signs of the motor heating up and cooling down/going bad ?

Make sure no weather stripping/window seal has dislodged. You may need to pull the door panel to check the track and how the window seats within it. Is it secure? Also check the motor and center arm. A lot of times the problem is just the seal in the window channel that causes things to bind up.

Need Help
My 1998 T/A with 12000 miles on it! I have always had a slow moving passenger window. Finally got the ?%&% of it an ordered the window fix kit from autotrix. Once installed it worked the window perfectly...but only once. Now it only responds to movement sporadically, or if you turn the car off and let it sit for a few minutes then restart it. Works once great then the same problem. Is my motor bad? All wires are in good shape, switches are fine too. Still have the whole door tore apart so no problem if it is a motor, just gotta order one and relace it. Any input from you pros would be greatly appreciated as this 52 year old man is at his wits ends. Wrenching is a young mans pasttime :-). Lookimg for any and all help!
