LS 2 help
I have a sand rail with a LS2 in it and on my last trip I started getting a high pitch sound like metal on meal. It only does it when the motor warms up when it’s cold it will not do it. Came back from my last ride and it was making the sound so I pulled all the belts started it back up and it still makes the sound. It’s not the clutch either. I got good oil pressure and I know it’s coming from down by the harmonic balancer. Any help?

New updates
got home and started up my car, it had 38 PSI oil pressure. I had to run it for 20 minutes to get it to start making the noise. at idle when warmed up motor still had 28PSI when the high pitch started up. I pulled all the belts and the noise is definitely coming from behind the harmonic balancer. the pitch DOES get faster when you rev up the motor.

Post up on the gen iii internal engine subforum. The LS2 is really more a glorified LS1/6.
