how to build a complete z28 from a roller
Hey fellas, I have the opportunity to buy a 2002 z28 roller for super cheap. It has damage to the hood, bumper, fender, and headlight. The seller says no frame damage and clean title. I will make sure about this on Friday.
Anyways, the car is a roller meaning no engine, no trans, no wiring harness or ecu.
How much would I be looking at to get this thing up and running again into a quick mid 11 sec street car. Also is there a write up or anything on here for putting a camaro back together and would it be worth building it. Im in no hurry to build it. I know this could easily spill into a one to two year project. Thanks fellas

Assuming ur doing all of the work urself,
Body work repairs, using used parts id say 1000 to 1500, plus paint. Figure 2500 realisticly.
Return to stock motor condition, 2-3000.
Make 11 sec street car, 5000 maybe.
Id pass, but i cant do bodywork, and im impatient lol

A roller is a blank canvas.
First question you should ask your self is... "What do I want out of this car ? "
Is it an all out drag car ?
Is it a strip street car ?
Is it a everyday car that you 'll be happy with being in high 11s, drive everyday and need full interior and stereo / AC ?
Based on the answers for these questions...start your research on which route you want to go with drive train & rest will fall in place.
Most important...your budget.

Id say a strip/street car. Dont have to have ac. Im thinking I can buy the hood and bumper and fender used for maybe 350 bucks then maybe 2500 to paint the car. Im hoping I can maybe get a new engine and trans for 5-6k and maybe have a "new" camaro for around 8-9k

you definitely can within that budget, doing the work yourself & looking for deals.
Do you want M6 or A4 Trans?
Are you looking to build a N/A motor or FI for your power goals.
Or you can get a complete LS3 dropout from a c6 and reach your goals of high 11s with just exhaust and a small cam (if needed).
