The car has 143,xxx. Is in pretty good shape no serious issues, has rip in drivers seat. Has a exhaust and that's it. New tires, some paint chips on the front end. I can buy the car for 3800 would I be getting hurt on it at all?

My major concern is the mileage and what could be wrong with the car that isn't being disclosed. How do you know the car is in good shape? What does that mean on the phone? There are going to be problems with any car with that mileage, no doubt about it. $3,800 may be OK if the needs or repairs are minor, but not if the car needs a new engine or tranny within the first 6 months or so. You will have too much $$ into it at that point and the rest of the car would still be a high mileage car. You really need to press the seller for all info with detailed questions. 2.5 hours wasted isn't the end of the world if the car doesn't check out but it would be nice to avoid the trip if the car doesn't live up to the description. The photos, while nice, are not enough. Best of luck!!
