Default o2 sensor placement?

I searched this topic and I can't seem to find an answer.

I'm using an LS-1 for my build with the stock exhaust manifolds. The driver side o2 sensor is in the way of the steering shaft. Would it effect the tune of the engine if I moved the sensor down the exhaust maybe 12" to 18"?

When completed the engine will have the pcm sent out to remove the rear o2 sensors among other things, but no custom tune.

Thanks for the help.

Shouldn't be an issue. Mine are at least 18" away from the headers.

Also, I don't see people having issues with sensors being moved for longtubes.
