Will this Speedhut adaptor work for th350?
I did a lq4/th350 swap in my '94 camaro. I have a psi harness but now looking to get my th350 to read speed for my stock gauges. I ran across this from Speedhut, it would be real simple and easy to hook up but don't know if it'll work with a stock PCM etc. Anybody try this?..

I would email Speedhut to check what the pulse rate is at say 55 with this sensor vs. the stock. If you have hp tuners you can program the speed sensor for how many pulses per mile you want. Might be a fairly easy solution.

I did, this is what I got back..
"Jerry,
Yes, it should screw onto your transmission. The signal it will output will depend on the voltage you feed it. For example, if you provide 12 to the power source it will have a 12 volt square wave signal. Most likely it will not work with the factory gauges and you will need a programmable speedometer. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Ammon"
So would I be able to reprogram the PCM to pick up what ever signal it sends out?

I haven't specifically played around with that, but I do know that the VSS in the stock t56 is 4000 pulses and in HP Tuners that field is able to be changed. I don't see why it couldn't be switched to reflect the pulses of the sensor from Speedhut. Maybe someone else can chime in.
