Default Bad Wheel Sensor Help!!!!! 98 Corvette

I pulled the troubleshooting code for my traction control system of C1225H, telling me that their is a bad wheel sensor. I'm being told by the dealer that I have to buy the whole hub assembly. They are giving my a price of $690.00 So, does anyone know if this is false info or if correct where I can this item a lot cheaper. Much appreciated Jim

I'd disconnect, clean the contacts both on the connector and the sensor, and reconnect the wheel sensor in question. My favorite cleaning solution is aerosol electronic contact cleaner, usually available at Radio Shack.

They live in tough conditions, so if the rubber seal on the connector fails or isn't seated correctly things get dirty quick.

Well if the windings on the WSS are bad you'll need the whole piece.
Tried GM parts direct?
