Default Pilot bearing issue

I bought a brand new LS7 clutch kit, and the pilot bearing it included measured 27.8mm I attempted to install this and even using wood and a dead blow hammer it wasnt budging. I was curious if it is the same pilot bearing as the stock ls1 pilot bearing.

Measure the outside of the original and the new one with a micrometer or caliper and see if they are the same size.

The old one was broke, only part that remained was 1/16" of the outer race and i had to break it to get it out.

Then measure the hole, if its more than .003 larger it's too big to fit in the hole.
