So my 1998 Trans Am has never had a working fuel gauge since I bought it used.

1.) It has a 99 Computer in it. The previous owner said it was easier for tuning.
2.) It reads full all the time.

So I have researched and discovered that either (a.) my fuel sending unit (floater) is crapped out. And that a new one for 1998 is very hard to find.

Or (b.) the 99 computer isn't set up for it?

I'm eventually dropping the tank and hopefully installing a racetronix pump.


I'd like some advice specific to the 98's.
And if anyone has a source for a new 98 fuel sending unit let me know!
