JEGS Pro-Flo Extreme Braided Hose use
Has anyone ever tried using JEGS new Pro-Flo Extreme Braided Hose? Jegs' tech wasn't too sure if the Viton® inner liner would alleviate the dreaded fuel fumes some nylon braided hose suffer from.
thanks,
Jim

I've tried 100% synthetic nitrile lined (it and Viton are both elastomers) and it bled odor. Summit refunded my money and I went Teflon. No regrets. I don't think I'd try anything else.

"Permeation
Permeation is the rate a gas or liquid can be transmitted through the elastomer. Nitrile has a rating of 8 while fluorocarbon is rated 12.7, which is not a significant difference and not of any consequence by the use of either material."
Here's a Viton pdf....
Best Viton permeation rate for 90/10 gas (lower is better) = 1.1
Worst Teflon = 0.05
