Default Squealing C5 6 speed

My wife's 1998 C5 just started squealing. 80K miles. The squealing is happening when you are moving faster than 10 mph. Press in the clutch, squealing goes away after about 1 second. Release the clutch, the noise returns. Doesn't vary with speed or RPM.

Throwout bearing? Pilot bearing? Expensive?

Thanks for any input.

Have you put it up in the air to see if you can pinpoint where the noise is coming from?
What clutch is in the car?
