Default question about rear shock mounting

How does the rear shock hold itself from being propelled upwards when there's only one nut on the top that holds it from being pulled down. I'm looking at the diagram of the mm spacer kit and I'm 100% lost on how the shock is not driven upwards

There are a couple bolts inside the trunk that hold the top of the shock.

I know but what hold the shock from going up I know theres bolts that stop it from going down but what stops it from going up there's only one nut on the top of the shock and at no other point is it tied into the rest of the mounting

Once you get in there and look at it you'll completely understand. There is a bushing on top and bottom that hold the shock firmly to the mounting plate. Use some loctite on the bolt though. Mine have backed off in the past.

The shaft diameter of the shock is larger then the threaded part and length which will stop against the bearing (on the upward stroke).
