I'm a new owner of a 99' Camaro SS with the t56. The car was actually my dads so I know the history of it, but haven't really driven it around a lot before. it has a rebuild transmission and new ram clutch along with a pro 5.0 shifter. The problem is the gear selection seems to be very vague and when shifting aggressively or at high rpms it buzzes/grinds pretty bad. I know how to drive well as I've been driving/drag racing manual cars for over a decade now. Is this a common problem? I don't even want to take it to the drag strip because I don't want to grind every gear going down the track and ruin the transmission completely.
