So a stock sounding 05-09 Saleen S281 passes by me going down a 4 lane road, I caught up to him, at this point we had a good 1/4-1/2 mile to run...he had his window down, as did I, so I pulled up beside him, looked right at him, downshifted into 2nd for about a 50mph roll...he then looked at me with the look on his face like he had no idea what I was doing...I looked over to his passenger side and saw he had the wife with him...so like an idiot, I honked 3 times anyways and...nothing, no go...wifey was probably like: "WTF is this a**hole doing?"
So I just said: "nice car" and drove off with my tail between my legs...

I figured at my power and weight, it may have been a good race...but I didn't notice if it was supercharged or not, so who knows what he had in there...he had red saleen letters on the rear bumper, so it could have been a "redflag" edition, even though there were only 100 of them produced...in that case he probably would have pulled me anyways...oh well, maybe next time when the wifey's not around I'll find out lol

I had a local one of those complement me on the car, and I asked him to run to the highway but he was busy doing something. Looked like he was parking as I was leaving. Cool guy though. I wondered what they normally run \ trap at. He told me high 12s at 112ish is what he pulled.

yea I did some reading-up on them...looks like their power levels range from 330-500hp, depending on package from Saleen...I think most of them were built as 400hp S/C 4.6L's...supposed to run high 12's to low 13's in that form...so it may have been a good race
