290-300 might be a stretch. I'd guess probably 270-280. That 80 series might hurt your flow.
But... There's no way of knowing until you dyno it. But I say skip that. Run it at the track to see what it does. Dyno numbers don't really matter.

You can probably imagine how many of those I have dynoed since 1992. I can tell you that totally untouched LT1s & LS1s vary a ton. I have seen several LT1s in the 230s RWHP, a few around 270, that is no tuning. They all gain the same from tuning and the same "mods". If you have a 235 RWHP turd, you will never make the same power one making 270 RWHP as a virgin. That one will always make more and be faster than the 235 RWHP turd, no matter what.
Bone stock virgine LS1s have made as high as 350 RWHP here. Some won't make 300. Some bone stock A4 LS1s run 12s, some run 14s.
Makes you want to dyno one on a test drive before buying it. A lot of it is how it was broken in, a lot about carbon build up. You can sit around and guess what one will make, but......

I know of a shop where I'm at that has a mobile Dynojet. They take it up to one of the mountain passes run cars on it, then they normalize the numbers to sea level. Pretty crazy what some cars are "putting down".

Now that I think about it, I doubt it'd make a huge difference. Probably lose few horses (5 or 10). But I heaven't personally tested an 80 series vs other cat backs and a stock system back to back.
