Unhappy Speaker Replacement

When I bought my 99 Trans Am it had a blown speaker. The speaker is the back seat drivers side. How difficult is it to replcae the speaker and how would I go about doing that? Are the speaker covers easy to remove? Thanks.

That's funny my driver side rear speaker went out on Sunday. I went over to Best Buy and they told me to go over to the dealership or go to a junk yard. The Monosoon system has 2 ohm speakers where as the after market speakers are 4 ohm. It looked pretty easy to replace, just take the plastic paneling off and plug in the new speaker. I going to hit the junkyard next week. Good luck

It is a 2 ohm subwoofer, best thing for it is a factory replacement speaker unless you are changing the radio also. I have a set of JL 6w0's in the sail panels but have an amp power them.
