I feel like this is a stupid question,but I will ask anyway. I had my swap up and running and went for a short ride and the the pedal went dead. Shut it off and restarted it and everything was fine. I had this happen once before. My question is are these TAC modules that sensitive to vibration? I have it just sitting in the dash where the factory stereo was. I guess I will try and find a spot to mount it.

If the throttle stopped working, see if it set a code. This code can tell you a lot.

Also, the TAC module and PCM need to power up and down together. Make sure they are on the same key hot circuit from ignition switch or relay. I usually put them on the same fuse to avoid any communication issues between the two.

On the gas pedal with metal mounting bracket, I have seen issues with warping the assembly causing slight changes to the voltage coming out of the accelerator pedal position sensor (APP) I have found you can shim under the arm for the gas pedal to keep it from fully returning, (keeps voltage higher) The PCM/TAC seems to 'learn' minimum position if you key on and off a few times. I've got a few pedals in my shop now that if I install them as is, will set codes every time. Put a penny under the stop and they work great.

I have had problems after storage over the winter. I suspect a little corrosion/dust in the pedal position sensor shuts it down. A few pumps on the pedal and reset, it's fine for the season.
