T56 input shaft bearing race and melted main shaft pocket bearing removal
I'm rebuilding a T56 which suffered catastrophic damage to the main shaft pocket bearing.
Does anyone know how I can remove the input shaft bearing race as well as what is left of the bearing on the end of the main shaft?
Also any ideas what would have caused this type of damage in the first place?

That input looks like the clutch teeth are gone anyway...replace it. When pocket bearings go, they can weld themselves to the mainshaft....could be what happened here... The bearing won't come off.

Take a die grinder to the pocket bearing with a wafer wheel, cut a slot in it then hit the slot with a chisel and break the inner race.
The input shaft race, good luck with that. Possibly the same deal or take an air chisel and split the race.
Cause was a lack of fluid or shimming was wrong, really wrong.
