Fitting late 4th Gen Wheels to early 4th Gen
In the past I have had to dremel out a small lip/ring around the inside hub of the wheel from later 4th gens to fit the wheel onto an early 4th gen. However, I picked up a set of Trans am wheels recently and went to put them on an LT1 car and I noticed the hub style is completely different than any other F-body rim I've seen.
The first attachment is what I've always seen in the past. The 2nd attachment is the back of a Trans am wheel, and the hub ring is "split" and tapered.
Has anybody else run into this?

I had to dremel out the inside on the 02 SS "10 Spoke" wheels I have on my 1994 Z28. Not much had to be taken off to make them fit. Something like .01 oe less. As far as the pictures you posted, it looks normal besides the grooves in the hub area. Is the size of the hole constant all teh way to where the cap snaps in?
Also, are the measurements the same as a stock late model F body wheel?
