is there any difference between a 98 and an 01 stock T56 transmissions?

So I have an 01 SS with a broken t56 and I found a t56 from a 98 camaro... my question is are there any difference between an early(98) ls1 style trans and my 01 t56 and will it swap right in? Any help would be greatly appreciated... thanks

carbon vs. fiber blocker rings. 2nd gear. Why not go through the 98 before you install it?
