Lifter issues with an 07 5.3 Other Options ? I have a friend that bought an 07 Silverado with a 5.3 and it has the lifter issue that I am now learning is fairly common on those year model motors . I have read online where people have replaced cam and lifters two or three times and still have issues with it . What I would like to know is if I can swap in a non AFM motor , like say an 05 , and just completely avoid future problems with it ? Is there any other option that will eliminate the potential of the problem coming back later ?

With all things U will have problems .....GM performance pasts Zo6 lifters if you don't have that DOD stuff and all factory equipment....They work pretty well..If you do have DOD TSP has a delete kit
