GTO vs Fbody Shifter positions
Sorry if this has been covered I have searched all over here and google and can't find the answer to my question. Does anyone know how much further the GTO t56 shifter position is rearward than an fbody?
I have an F-body T-56, but need the shifter to be in the stock GTO position to center in my console. I can have MGW just clock their offset rearward which would bring the shifter 1.7 inches rearward of the stock F-body position. I am not sure if that is far enough back or if I need to keep on looking, I don't want to spend the 200 bucks for a maybe if I can help it.
Thanks in advance.

Shifter Offset Levers can also be swapped out.

No problem bud glad I could help. I had the same question since my GTO T56 is going into a 240sx....I will be swapping out the Shifter Offset Lever for the Fbody one and using an Fbody MGW Shifter.

Proxes on LS1GTO modifies MGW shifters to be bolt-ins for the GTO. Same stick position as the OE shifter. Should be easy to find someone to swap your F-Body offset lever for a GTO one.
