Foxbody lq4 swap wiring I'm in the process of putting an 04 lq4 in a 89 notch.
-04 lq4
-truck harness converted to fbody pinout
-01 camaro ss pcm
-using Camaro cluster!!
okay... now that we got that out of the way....I'm in the middle of wiring...and basically, my question is.....Is the "star connector" needed. ive located it, and confirmed there is a DKgreen(ecm feed) Purple(DLC) and Grey(Cluster) all the other wires are not needed as I'm not using any of those modules. So can I just Crimp all the wires together?

Someone has got to have been in this situation!!! I know that in a standalone harness the DK green wiring coming from the ECM is the serial data and that is what the OBDII connector (PURPLE wire) is connected too. I guess I'm concerned because it is a digital signal, crimping/soldering all 3 wires together would somehow affect the signal.
