Default 3.73 Gears in 99 SS

Thinking about running either 4.10's or 3.73 rear end in my 1999 Camaro SS. Its an automatic so im thinking 3.73 will work better. im currently running 8.5 eighth mile times right now and im hoping with a new rear end and new stall converter i can push into the 7's. any help on what gears work good?

Do you do much highway or high speed driving? Generally the rule of thumb is 3:73s for a4 and 4:10s for m6. That being said a buddy of mine has a head/cam a4 with 4:10s and IF he gets that thing to hook it's a monster.
