Newby from Northeast Texas
Hello guys and gals. I found this forum while exploring the possibilities of an engine swap in my 92 Jeep YJ. I currently have a 5.3L candidate in my shop that is totally torn down. I plan on rebuilding the motor, and looking to gain some helpful info along the way.
I love to wrench and learn along the way. I prefer to do things the correct way the first time, so I will be asking a lot of questions along the way as I get started. I have never rebuilt an engine, but I figure no better way to learn than to jump in to it. I own a Jeep (toy) so that alone says I don't mind getting my hands dirty, and working on my stuff.
I thing I have the big three covered in my driveway as I own a Chevy 2500HD, Dodge 1500, Ford F250 SD, and my Jeep. I work out of the Chevy, the wife drives the Dodge, and the Ford pulls the trailer with the Jeep.
