Default 69 Camaro LS1 Restomod

Year: 1969
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Camaro
Price: $33500
Mileage: 4000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): FL
Color: Orange
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

I am selling my SS badged '69 Camaro that I have had for two years. I bought this car as a perfectly functioning car with a built 350/turbo 350 combo, power steering, power front disc/rear drum brakes, stock suspension, and no POSI. I wanted the new car dependability and economy so I installed an LS1 motor and 4L60E transmission from a ‘02 SS Camaro w/ 89,000 miles. Before installing the motor and trans, the motor was completely torn down, cleaned, and painted. Each component from the motor was painted two coats Cast-Iron or Semi-Flat black. While the motor was torn down I had a Z06 cam and springs installed. When re-assembling the motor, I added Dynatech long tube headers, Holley LS oil pan, NGK plugs, and Taylor wires. The motor gets tons of complements! I also replaced the fuel tank and added a Corvette inline fuel filter. All new fuel lines were installed with proper AN fittings as well. A new 3.36 Eaton POSI was installed to go with the new motor. A new Gen IV Vintage A/C system was installed and keeps the car cold during the summer. The exhaust was upgraded with Dynatech LS long tubes and Flowmaster mufflers. Once the motor swap was complete I had the engine professionally tuned. As a result the car runs great, makes great power, and gets great fuel economy. The suspension was upgraded with new Hotchkis front coil springs, rear leaf springs, and a front sway bar. The interior of the car was updated with Autometer gauges, ‘02 Camaro seats and console, Morris 3-point seatbelts, new carpet, and a Grant steering wheel. The wheels are American Racing TT2's 17x8 with 245/45 tires that are in good shape and have less than 4,000 miles on them. A new JVC CD/Stereo with 4 speakers was installed with two speakers in the rear deck and two speakers in the center of the dash. The paint and body is really nice. No rust. Only a few small chips from normal day to day driving. The car has a nice shine to it and gets looks and complements everywhere I take it. Floor appears to be newer and looks good. I drove the car to “Run thru the Hills” in Pigeon Forge, TN last September and the car was great. I cruised at 75 the whole way with the AC on. With all of the upgrades, the car handled and performed exceptionally well in the mountains. I would drive the car anywhere tomorrow if I needed to. There are three video links below. Local inspection encouraged! I will gladly assist with shipping if needed. The car has just under 4,000 miles since being upgraded. I drive the car frequently so mileage may go up. Cash in person or wire transfer only. Please text or call with any questions.

$33,500 OBO

Sunday bump! I will consider any legitimate offers (research all running and driving LS1 Camaro's for sale). I am starting nursing school in January and would like to have it gone by then! Thanks

Ordering new disk brake kit with slotted and drilled rotors, 9" booster, master cylinder, and proportioning valve soon! Price will go up a little when I do it, but as a whole one less thing for buyer to do. I'll post pics up in Flickr stream when completed! Any questions or comments feel free to hit me up.

Where in FL are you located? Any issues with the car? What kind of mileage does it get on the highway?

I'm in Pensacola. No issues with the car. Drive it anywhere you want. Now on the highway with POSI and 3.36 it gets 23mpg at 75ish.

Very nice car. The only thing it really needs is a turbo installed. Which brings me to my next question.....could I buy it for 23k cash? I could of sent this to ya in a pm, but I don't care if others say it's not enough or to much. I want it for me, not to resell it in a few years. The car market is a hit and miss deal throughout the year(s). Mecum auto auctions in kc(Dec 2013) sold a resto mod 68 rs for 21k. Cortez silver too. I couldnt get away from work, or that car was mine.....or I could of hoped.

Well, chew my offer over a bit and Lmk if we can get together on this.

Honestly, this was going to be my offer, but I mulled it over and decided something like this wouldn't be a good idea for my only car in an apartment where I'm "not allowed" to work on it.

Yeah that price isn't even close. There is nothing wrong offering what you can offer though. There hasn't been a LS 69 Camaro go for under 30k that I know of anywhere in the past two to three years that I've seen. And the 30k car wasn't as clean and well put together with options as this car (looked like someone threw the motor in, took pictures, and listed for sale in same day). Coming up with north of $30,000 to chunk down on a car is hard for a lot of people and I understand that. I'll wait it out and keep enjoying the car though!

Ohh and I definitely wouldn't buy this car and leave it sitting in an apt parking lot... She needs a nice garage to sleep in

Not to throw this thread off direction of your sale, but...
Are those the seatbelts from the '02? And did the console just fit right in, or did you have to modify anything?
Car looks damn good!

The seat belts are Morris Classic Concepts. You have to drill different hole in tunnel and then modify a few mounting brackets then screw console to them. Thanks for the complement!

Y2K - I'll pm you
