You won't find anything under $300 with an i-series that's worth a flip. I just built my tower and the processor alone was $200. Add in all the other components and I am at $580 not including Windows or monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

Debatable. You can get a laptop with an i3 for 350 easy. A desktop? Shouldn't be difficult.
