Unhappy 98 Firebird Engine Swap Issue

My cousin bought a 98 firebird with a 6.0 liter from an 03 Escalade with an egr delete in it. the o2 sensor kept causing problems and they changed the computer just to be sure. now the vibration sensor causes the engine to go out at 3500 rpms. none of the electronics are defective and we can't find out what to do. the exhaust was also taken out of the escalade too.
Can we hijack the sensor somehow or would that cause problems. The motor runs fine otherwise. What do we do?!?! He is going to sell it to me for cheap so I want to know

I have the same problem on a 98 bird I just bought. Havent pulled it apart yet to see if the knock sensor is bad. LS1 to 6.0 conversion. Any info?

Check to make sure that it is not getting a ground or positive on the park/neutral input to the PCM. that activates a rpm limit for engine protection. look up the wiring on lt1swap.com for which connector to look at/test.
