Default Installing Cruise Control In Non-Equipped Car

Back when I got my car I got it for a good deal, yet it is a stripper car doesn't have cruise, power windows, etc. I though I could live without the cruise but since I have started college I usually drive 1.5 hours on the interstate when I go to and from school. This is really annoying not having cruise. I know my car is wired for cruise but my problem is that I cannot find a cruise control module that doesn't have the TCS. This brings me to the question of whether I could use a cruise control module out of either a v6 car or one out of a truck like the 4.3 s10, tahoe, silverado, etc. If anyone can offer some help it would be appreciated! And sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum I wasn't sure what was the right place to post it.
