Default Don't know where to find this?

Sorry this isn't really LT-1 specific but has anyone ever seen short catalytic converters that actually go inside the end part of a long tube header? I know i saw this on some magazine car that was so low in the front they didn't want to use normal ones which have the larger diameter than the normal exhaust pipes do?

Havent heard of them, a friend got some race cats that just look like a bullet muffler they were pretty small and effective enough to pass inspection.

I'm a little "fuzzy" on this, but I seem to recall a company named 'Car Chemistry', or 'Car Alchemy', or something like that, that made small, possibly slip in cat cons.

yeah I have seen them. My friend had an ls1 camaro that had these. The story he told me about the car was that it was a test car for hooker headers it had a little plaque that said hooker and the dyno numbers from the car. Was the story true? was it really a test car? I dont know. But it did have the cats that slid into the headers. The car had stock ride height by the way.

Still getting no where with this, the car chemistry place does make an exhaust insert but its a muffler type deal only just to deal with noise..
This is for a project car with very little ground clearance so a spun type mini converter still means that it loses height so therefore the desire to try an insert.
Anyone else?

Magnaflow has small bullet cats that go in the end of the collector.
