Default Reasonable Mechanic Shop

Hi guys I have an 85 MonteCarlo SS with a 355, had a new set of AFR195's, and Harland Sharp 1.6's along with air gap intake installed. Driving home from Forthworth area and it overheated. I got soo pissed I just went and purchased a 2013 Camaro. Needless to say now I have to fix it to sale or just may keep for a weekend cruiser. Anyway I live in plano area and I need a honest, reputable shop or person who stands behind his work. Thanks in advance

Headgaskets should be new if you just had heads installed, may be installed incorrectly causing the issue, but it could be something simple as well, like an air pocket, bad thermostat or no thermostat etc..

I'm in Rowlett, it's pretty close to Plano, PM me if you need help.

But honestly, if you just payed someone to do this, take it back to them and make them fix it no charge. Unless you don't think they are capable.

If it overheated at idle check the fan, if it overheated once you got up to speed it could be lack of circulation (water pump, clogged radiator, bad thermostat) or excessive circulation (thermostat or not having one)

Thanks for the responses guys! It's a hard choice. The shop I like the most is located in allen called custom concepts. Guy I spoke with was down to earth but has the highest prices. Go figure. Anyways thanks for your help, again.
