Default Anyone try coating their valvesprings?

Someone told me that coating your valvesprings may help extend their life. I'm referring to a coating similar to what's sold here: http://www.calicocoatings.com/racing.html I haven't really heard of this before and am wondering if anyone else has any info on this?

No one has any experience with this...or has ever heard of this? I sent an email to the owner of that company I listed in my previous post and he makes it sound like it would be a good idea. A friend of mine recommended that place as well.

I have coated springs in some of my other motors. It helps keep the spring cooler which in turn keeps the metal from fatiguing which extends spring life.

I would call Polydyn in Houston, Texas. www.polydyn.com They have the best coating of any of the shops out there. All my stuff gets coated...

Thanks. I think I'm going to give it a try. Seems like one of those 'can't hurt to try' things.
