96 LT1 into 95 Formula Firebird
Need some advice. We are putting a 1996 Impala LT1 into a 95 Formula Firebird. Engine is set up with crank trigger and I know 95 didn't use it. What is the easiest way to make this wiring work. Am I going to have change the loom and computer to a 96 set up? Street / strip car.
Thanks

You can leave all wiring and PCM as-is.
Just get a NEW stock replacement knock sensor for the 95 Formula and torque it in whatever side of the replacement engine the F-cars use. Leave the one on the other side of the 96 B-car engine in; it will serve only as a plug.
Disregard the crank position sensor on the replacement engine; it's not needed for the 1995 OBD1 system.
