Default Which heads for my supercharged ls3? tfs255 or ported lsa?

I have a set of new lsa heads that I have been thinking about getting ported, but have been looking at the tfs 255's also. Which is going to be better? These will be going on a sbe 6.0L with a ysi. Thanks

Ryan

If you do the Trickflow's get them bare so you can do your own valves and spring package. You already have the lsa's. I would run them.

I have a pair if the tfs 255's, by what I have seen they outflow any cnc ls3/lsa head and when yiur send a ls3 ir ksa head out they increase the port to sonething around 260-270cc and still the 255's outflow them which means youll have more under the curve. If you plan to build something serious later on I would do it just for deck thickness but as far as power gains im unsure how much more youll see in a boost application. .. if I had to guess 30-40 up top and a little more under the curve

Flow numbers don't look too much different between the two. The tfs flow more on the intake, but with a larger bore 4.0 vs 4.06. The lsa flow 20-30cfm more on the exhaust, which I think would help alot with the supercharger. The lsa's end up being more money after porting and I know that the deck isn't as thick as the tfs heads. So not sure if I wanna put the money into them or just sell them and get the tfs heads.

How large is the port tho on the lsa heads after porting? Pretty sure its larger than the tfs so youll probably lose velocity = under curve torque and power. How much who knows

I would leave the intake port basically untouched. Just get that stupid wing deal cut down and do a little port work on the exhaust.
