LS3 MAF connector doesn't fit
I'm swapping my LS2 MAF to the LS3/LS7 slot style (GM# 15865791). The annoying problem I'm having is that the harness connector doesn't fit. The connector is an aftermarket "LS3 LS7" GM pigtail Manufacturer's part number 88987186. The wiring connector is too shallow. Even with the seal and the purple cover removed it is about 3mm shy of the latch engaging. I know this MAF part number superceded and earlier one from a different supplier. Are there different versions of these connectors I should be aware of as well?

Extra seal in the sensor? Just need to push harder to seat the connector?

My pigtail came from ballenger and I had no prob but I do recall the seal in the sensor.

If you get MAF ACDelco 2134222
LS7 MAF listed for a 2008 Corvette 7.0L among other things
Do Not Get this connector:
Manuf Part number 88987186
Interchange PT2239
Other 19151493
The one you want is:
Manuf. Part number 210-0162
Interchange PT2239

It is pulled back, it doesn't need to be removed. I tried removing the grey clip, purple cover and seal from the first connector pictured. It is just too shallow to fit on the MAF I ordered. I even tried a replacement connector from the vendor.
The second pictured connector works no problem and the purple cover doesn't get stuck in the MAF like the first one did.
