Default MAF Sensor Boot-in to card type?

Hey guys I am working our engine swap. I am working on intake setup and am curious as to how a MAF swap would work from an 06 GTO Boot In to a GM #15865791 Card style swap would go?

I know I would need the weld on adapter for the intake tube. as well as harness adapter or get a new connector for the MAF.

My concern is actually about the the compatibility of the Boot-in MAF to the card style. from LS2-LS3/7 styles. Does the ECM read both cards the same?

Default

They have different tuning constants & will require data logging/tuning until you get it right. I did one that was off by 25% from the recommended parameters.

They are also more sensitive on the low flow end to turbulence. If you build a 4" tube, I recommend you also add a honeycomb insert in front of the sensor to smooth things out.

Do a search on card MAF's & you will find a lot of reading.
