Default Fast 90 questions

A local guy has a fast 90 intake for sale and I am thinking of replacing my ls6 intake with it. It comes with rails. What else will I need? I removed ribs on the bottom of my ls6 intake and am using my factory ls1 water cross overs. Thanks in advance.

button head valley cover bolts, maybe new seals, pretty sure you need the LS6 style cross over steam vents to use the FAST too. and a 4 bolt throttle body unless you have an adapter to use your stock TB.

On the 78 I use the stock TB. But the valley bolts and gaskets. I run the KUP water vapor block so no crossover for the coolant.

you can use the stock ls1 coolant lines with a fast intake .you need to use some wood and a plastic hammer to been them down ,so a fast intake will fit .if the intake has 3 bolts on the TB opening ,it is a fast 78 intake .make sure to check for any cracks .and check where the map sensor fits ,and where all the nipples on the intake .

be very careful if you try smashing the crossover instead of getting the ls6 style, the intake needs a lot of room under there so you don't want it getting vacuum leaks from coming into contact with the coolant tube

even if it is a fast 78 it is worth getting for the right price and it will save you having to go aftermarket on the TB which will make it easier to tune
