Anyone know the limit of the stock TTY head bolts (when they start to stretch)??

5.3 - mpt76
ive been to 17lbs on stock head bolts ,, 18lbs started pushing water .. switched to arp's head bolts ,, now i run ebay head studs ..

my 4.8 on3 76mm car 99 4.8, stock tty/paper head gaskets

10.72 @ 135mph like a clock
106 in the 8th everyday haha

pumpgas + meth 18psi 12deg timing
saw 22lbs turning it up on the highway a few times

Low timing is your friend with stock head bolts.

anyone ever run the gmpp head bolts. I have them in my 6.0 with ls9 gaskets? bought them from the dealer they are said to be a better bolt than the factory bolts.

I hope so.
