Ls7 swapin in Fbody
Hi
I know this was disscused before and i did searches but in fact what i was found are specific issues and i didnt got any good idea to my issue so i will tell you my story my car is SS 00" with ls3 engine with t56 and i bought ls3 prc 250 heads and fast 102 intake but know i change my mind going to ls7 442cid because i find it with a good price so i decied to buy it and put prc and fast on it and put my oil pan (wet sump) ! So if iam wrong tell me ? And once i heard that if i want to put the ls7 in fbody i should change the oil pump and the damper and many thing else so can you tell me what can i change or stay with to get it in my ss ?
Btw the ls7 442cid was in zo6 2008 !

I'm building one now for my camaro. I believe if your going to run wet sump you need a different crank sprocket, oil pump, front cover, run the f-body dampner, and get a dampener spacer. scoggin dickey actually sells a conversion kit. I am not sure at the moment on whether or not you can pin the dampener if you are using the spacer.

I hope someone would chime in and say whether or not you can pin a dampner with the spacer on. It basically pushes it farther back onto the snout. there is also a gm hightech article on how to do the swap to wetsump somewhere
