Default clutch for stock 09 vette

Posting for a friend. Looking for advice on what clutch to get for a stock 09 vette. The guy wants something a little more than the stock clutch, but nothing crazy that affects drivability. Would a clutch from a zr1 work well?

If you want to spend a boat load yes. A monster stage 1 or 2 will work well. Drive nearly like stock.

Is the ZR1 clutch not a direct replacement? For the clutch, flywheel and pilot bearing it looked cheaper than monster clutches you listed. maybe i am missing something...

No the ZR1 clutch is not a direct replacement. The only co that offers that is Katech and youll have to spend north of a grand for it.
There are many reasons such as the ls9 has more fw bolts than reg ls does.

Yes, Katech's LS9X is great, and can handle up to 800 wheel. It has completely stock feel. I have one in my C5Z w/ a LS7 434, and my dad has one in his H/C C6Z. It'll serve your friend well.

Monster LT1-S, holds up to 650 rwhp and drives absolutely stock. It's the same clutch the factory C7 has in it, but, with our conversion flywheel.

The other good news is, because it's sold through us it carries a one year warranty.

Give us a shout and we'll get you taken care of, we'll be starting a sale next week making that LT1-S unit less than $1,000 shipped to your friends door!
