Default new to this site

Hey everyone I'm new to the sight and I have a question that hopefully someone can help with. I have an l31 from a suburban that I built up a bit and I'm having problems with timing. It has a comp 268h cam, 1.25" valve springs, 1.6 roller rockers, dual plane intake with a 625 road demon carb, and an msd streetfire hei distributer.

If i adjust the timing as far as I can turn the distributor either way it doesn't do anything. I'm thinking something isn't lined up right maybe? And I have to use a couple spacers to get the distributor to fit right. I don't know what's wrong!

I appreciate your opinion but that's just not my style lol. I think I'm probably just going to pull the motor out and start over. I just might make it a 377. By the way its in a Mazda b2200
