Spool valve for a diesel work work for gas?
Attachment 443879
This valve is 600.00 but looks extremely well made and adjustable. Says its for a t4, would this work good on a s475??

The spool valve doesn't have a fuel sensor in it that detects whether its diesel or gas.
In principle, it'll work for either diesel or gas. You can find them much much cheaper than $600 and they've been proven to work. Although you can make an S475 spool pretty fast without the need for something like this...

that spool valve is for diesels because they run higher boost pressures than turbo lsx's(50+psi) that valve probably will not open at peak boost for us. sound performance makes one for gassers that use solenoids and or cO2.

This was big once upon a time here. (lots of talk, but not many people were doing them)
Do a quick search for Spool valves, and there was tons of threads about them a few years ago. Quite a few guys have done this same thing with a wastegate as well.

SP is the biggest name in spool valves. Lots of other companies make their own. Search for them on this forum. There were a few sponsors that were selling them here a few years ago. Zombie did a test on one a while back with very good results.
Then there are the knockoffs.
