Default 80e dipstick length?

Hey guys I need to know how long the full and low marks are from the dipstick seat (ridge on the tube) on a 80e with the std. Pan

I had to make a dipstick/tube for my swap so I need to know where to mark it

Full warm running is even with the pan rail. I like to see 1/4" above that.

Pan depth does not change the correct level.

like Jake said, just above the pan rail-I just made up a new stick due to having to make 2 bends in the tube (I had to use a Trailblazer oil dipstick cable style, braze it to the orig) my orig. fill mark was aprx. 1/8" above the rail
80E's like to be full, lol

What happens if they are overfull? I assume thats a better situation than empty.
